Our Team

Raised on Long Island in a Puerto Rican family, Shane Valentine’s love of food and hospitality began around crowded family tables, watching his mother, grandmother, and aunts cook, host, and bring people together. He started his restaurant career as a teenager, working both front and back of house, and by age 20 had become one of the youngest General Managers for a growing restaurant group.

 

His career has since spanned culinary arts, restaurant and hospitality operations, leadership development, and community health, including studies at Johnson & Wales University, authoring The Baby Cuisine Cookbook, and developing hands-on cooking and nutrition programs that ultimately reached more than 125 schools across five states. Throughout his career, Shane has remained grounded in a simple philosophy: great hospitality is about more than what’s on the plate—it’s about creating a place where people feel welcome, cared for, and connected.

 

As General Manager and Chef at Beer Baron Santa Rosa, he brings that philosophy together with a passion for great food, thoughtful hospitality, strong teams, and creating a restaurant the community can truly call its own.
